Many SMBs here and abroad are seeking ways to grow in new markets. Typically, they use consultants close to their operations. But sometimes the perspective deserves to come from elsewhere for a better assessment of the potential. To get there, there are of course the large consulting firms, but too expensive for SMBs.

Resources are available from independent consultants skilled in every market or country. But access can be problematic without networking and reference.

Looks like a great idea. If you intend doing the same in the Australia/Asia area, I would be interested in helping.  Many SMBs do not realise that if they take their brand into another jurisdiction, even online, they may be infringing the rights of an entity based in the overseas jurisdiction.   Trade mark searches should be done to minimise the risk of infringement.
