About Vanessa Leigh Hoffman
I have been a writer and actress since I was nine, winning Who's Who awards in each field. I won 1st place in the speech writing and presenting part of a Miss Tennessee Teen pageant, and I won numerous poetry interpretaion awards in city and state High School dramatic contests.
I played, sang and wrote with many rock bands in the 1980's and 1990's.
I graduated from the University of Memphis in 1992 with a B.A. in romance languages. I speak Spanish, French and German. I also attended Pepperdine University before that, where I majored in Theatre Arts and Music.
I worked in advertising upon graduating, and eventually opened a travel/tour agency where I escorted large groups of people around the world.
I taught college, high school, elementary and middle school for fifteen years while owning my agency.
I became a wine consultant as a hobby.
