About Roxine Booker

During the years when I was raising my four children I was very active in church with them and involved in many children and youth group programs with them including Bible School in the summer.  I purchased the Ten-Volume set of Bible Story Books, by Arthur S. Maxwell and the four children and me read a story each morning and then got on our knees and prayed prior to their leaving for school each morning.  Later I purchased sets for each of my children to read to my grandchildren and now I am buying them for my grandchildre to read to my great grandchildren. In high school I took piano lessons and later  my  four children all took piano lessons and I was able to help them. Also, we had a camper and boat and went water skiing with the children, along with camping while hunting, fishing and swimming. Each summer we went to Lake Greason at Hot Springs, Arkansas for our vacation and the children and relatives would water ski and swim, always having fun together.   I enjoyed many years with my children, and grandchildren and now great grandchildren at the beach on the Texas Gulf Coast, playing in the sand and swimming. Also, visiting the Houston Zoo, Museam, Astroworld , Nasa, Brazoria County Fair and Rodeo and the Houston Livestock Show held at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas. One of my crochet baby sets won first place at the Brazoria County Fair in 1985. My entire life my Lord and Savior "Jesus Christ" has been my guide as I have always been active in church. I am a member of the First Baptist Church, Brazoria, Texas.  Health problems, the last few years, has slowed my attendance at church, but my Lord and Savior "Jesus Christ" has been my guide and I Praise him constantly. Jesue has guided me to the hair analysis which has saved my life for it told me the vitamins I was deficient in and I have corrected the eleven vitamins.   I learned about and got my first hair analysis from Dr. Michael McCann, Brazoria, Texas in 1996 and several over the next ten years or so. My first hiar analysis showed I was deficient in eleven vitamins and they were:  calcium, magnesuim, soduim, potassium, iron, copper, manganese, zinc, chromium, selenuim and phosphous.  I corrected these mostly from vitamins from The Vitamin Shoppe. Visit the webstite www.ScienceFormulas.com for detailed information on this subject and be informed by a retired neurologist, Dr. Alan Greenberg.  Dr. Patricia Salvato, doctor of internal medicine, Houston, Texas  has been given the key to the city of Houston,Texas for her research. She has injections that are all natural and cleanse the body.  I have taken them since January, 2007 when I took  my hair analysis to her for in the past she had diagnosed me with Lyme Disease and I had lots of other things and she checked me out and said there was nothing, that everything internally ws 100% normal and now each time when I go to her or have tests done, this is what I hear: "What are you doing?  There is nothing!  You have been diagnosed with many things, including Lyme Disease, but there is nothing!  Internally, everything is 100% normal!"  This research of Dr. Patricia Salvato has been sent to the FDA, but they refuse to approve it; therefore, I have to pay 100% for it out of my pocket even when I have Medicare and a Supplement to Medicare and the injections come right out of my doctor's office and prepared by her.  Also, in 1981, Dr. John Fraiche, Gonzales, Louisiana, told me that soaking in baking soda water would get toxins out of your body and since that time I have really used this.  Also, Aztec Indian Healing Clay is good.

In high school I had a stamp collection and corresponded with pen pals in several foreign countries.  I continued the stamp collection for years.  I also did quilting and oil painting for many years.  I was a member of the 4-H Club and Library Club.  I loved baton twirling. I loved to go bowling and roller skating at the roller skating rink located at Camden, Arkansas and met many of my friends there. As a teen ager I loved to pick cotton to earn money. For many years I made place mats for the dining table in which I made from frames made by my grandfather, Ben Cook.  My grandmother, Mattie Jones Cook, taught me to do the matting. She also was the ancestor that believed in God and that is where we get our religious background from. I still have the frames and plan to do some matting for the grandchildren. Through the years from about 1960 to the present I prepared taxes for our family for the IRS. Also, during the years while my children and grandchildren were growing up, I enjoyed putting puzzles together with them, playing skip-o and monoploy. While my four children were in elementary school, each morning I read a story to them from "The Bible Story" by:  Arthur S. Maxwell.  There are ten volumes and we read all ten of them during these years. Each morning, after  the Bible Story was read, we got on our knees and prayed to our Lord and Savior, "Jesus Christ" prior to them leaving for school each morning.  As my children grew to adulthood, each of them were given a set of the Bible Stories to have in their homes.  When putting my children to bed, as they grew up, we prayed the Lord's prayer, "Now I lay Me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, If I should die before I wake I pray the Lord my soul to take, Amen!"  Then I would kiss each of them goodnight.  This was repeated when grandchildren came to visit and now when great grandchildren come. When they are ready for bed they will prepare their hands for prayer and we will say the Lord's prayer and then I give them a good night kiss.

PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Products And/Or Services :

Real Estate, Licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission. Licensed in Real Estate as a agent in 1976 and was sponsored by Clyde Cone of Clyde Cone Real Estate.  Obtained Real Estate Broker's License about 1980, then obtained the assumed business name "Lone Star Realty".  People have shown they love this due to Texas being the "Lone Star State". When I lived  in Louisiana, from 1981 to 1986, I was a licensed Real Estate Broker in Louisiana as well as Texas.  Since I was already a Texas Real Estate Broker, when I lived in Louisiana I was required to take the exam only to become a Louisiana Real Estae Broker.  Upon returning to Texas in 1986 I did not renew the Louisiana Broker's license. I have also given my crochet "Star" doilies to many people and all of the living United States Presidents have a "STAR" doily as well as Gov. Rick Perry of Texas and the mayor of the city of Brazoria, Ken Corley.  I also bank at the Lone Star Bank located in Brazoria, Texas and my credit card is a Lone Star Bank Visa Card.

Texas Notary Public.

Genealogy, I have been doing genealogy since 1960. I am a member of Ancestry.com and have ten trees in Ancestry. Also, I am a member of MyFamily.com and have six websites in MyFamily.com, five family and one classmates, Harmony Grove Hornets for Harmony Grove High School, Camden, Ouachita County, Arkansas, which includes classes from 1931 to the present. I went to high school with the class of 1958; however, I did not graduate with them in 1958, but we grew up together and I am very close to many of them.  I received  my G.E. D. from the state of Texas in 1966.

Attributes Success To :

I attibute my success to my Lord and Savior "Jesus Christ" for leading and directing me in all areas of my life.  He is with me constantly, even when I am unable to attend church services as I would like to.  My Lord and Savior "Jesus Christ" never leaves me.  Also, in working on the estates I worked on the Brown Estate   (Prewitt/Pruitt) by heirs giving me the information for the family due to owners being deceased and no wills left. It took years; however, with the help of the heirs I obtained birth and death certicattes to verify  heirship and the heirs were located all over the United States. At  closing I was asked by Linda Galyean and Polly Stanford, of Brazoria County Abstract Company, to proofread the affidavit of heirship due to their lack of knowledge concerning the heirs, for there were so many and they could not verify that the information was correct; therefore, they ask me to do it for them.  The heirs are still my friends today and will always be my friend.  I cannot verify it, but it is possible that some of the land was given to the owners when they were freed from slavery many years ago.  The land was located on major highways and a lot of it good commercial land

I also spent about five years researching the properties  owned by Jimmy Swaggart Ministries,  Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in Brazoria County, Texas.. In 1998 I received a call from the Director of Development, Earl Harmon, for he had seen one of my signs.  He ask me to research to find out what properties Jimmy Swaggart Ministries owned in Brazoria County for many had been donated to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, but they did not know what they owned.  I researched the court house and found  properties, purchased certified copies of the deeds and mailed them to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.  I stayed in contact and was put in contact with John Clouser as I continued the research. Also, the land was researched and maintenence was done on the land by my family members, including the cabin on the property used by campers and mowing of the grass on hundreds of acres of land in order to clear a right of way.  My family was given written rights to hunt on the property for the work we had done, but it was changed by John Clouser after he had sent the written agreement. I feel that I was asked by my Lord and Savior, "Jesue Christ" to do this work for his ministry with Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.  I have attended services at Jimmy Swaggart Ministries while living in Louisiana and the most precious is when my mother, Bertha Mae Cook, was alive, her favorite program to listen to or watch on TV was Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. Praise The Lord!  Bro. Jimmy Swggart, I  "Praise the Lord" for the great work you have done for our Lord and Savior "Jesus Christ!"

Future Career And Business Goals :

I plan to continue with Lone Star Realty with the help of my agent; Diane Youngblood.  Also, I spend lots of time in Ancestry.com, Myfamily.com, Footnote.com, RootsWeb, FamilySearch.org and other genealogy sites when searching for genealogy information.  About 1999, my granddaughter, Stephanie Booker, helped me search for the maiden name of my husband, Alvin Henry Booker, grandmother, Ada Bicker's mother and we were searching for Girtrude.  Stephanie found Ancestry.com and found a relative, Russell Booker, and he told us about  an older sister, Molly Bickers, and younger brother, William Thomas Bickers that my husbands family had never known about.  Since that time I have communicated with descendants of both. Lucyle Bickers Middleton in Florida and Elsie Smith Vann in Tennessee.  Elsie just turned 97 on her birthday and Lucyle has sent large packages of genealogy information ever since Stephanie Booker found her through Russell Booker. In 2009 I found the death certificate of William Thomas Booker in Footnote.com (Fold 3) and on it was the maiden name of his mother and it was Monday. Her name being Virginia C. Monday. She is the daughter of Westley O. Monday and Matilda Elizabeth Cherry.  She was born in 1847 in Ripley, Tippah County, Mississippi, USA. Virginia Monday married William Henry Bickers.   They had three children, Molly Viola Bickers, Ada Girtrude Bickers and William Thomas Bickers. The family had always heard that Ada Bickers was 100% Cherokee Indian and we searched over ten years before we found the maiden name of Ada Bicker's mother. When we started our search is when I purchased a computer and have used it on a daily basis since then. This has been a very rewarding experience. I have had in excess of thirty contacts through Ancestry.com and verified most of them as relatives. When I do this I invite them to the related website in MyFamily.com and ask them to contribute their line of the family and add photos.etc. I have been corresponding with a couple in Australia  that contacted me through Ancestry.com.  They were born in England and moved to Australia in 1981.  I have invited Peter & Carol Way to my tree in Ancestry.com and family website in MyFamily.com. We are working together to connect the Booker Family in England and the United States. I am working on this to leave for my descendants and the ninth great grandchild was born on October 10, 2010.
