About Ravinder Singh
My name is Ravinder Singh, i arrived in Australia in 1976 being the age of 7.
On arrival to Australia is when my passion and dreams began of wanting to becoming a pilot.
Growing up in Sydney Australia was quiet challenging, as i experienced a major cultural difference.
I completed my schooling at the age of 18 and proceeded into college for further studies in Automotive engineering, as a young apprentice that developed into a qualified Automotive engineer my heart was still set on aviation.
At the age of 25 i left the Automotive industry and bought into the transport industry.
The trucking business grew with time and within 3 years.
Now i found my options open to research the aviation industry, My passion was with the airlines and i quickly learned that my age of 30yrs old made it even harder as i had to compete with younger pilots.
I always had an option so i proceeded in becoming a helicopter pilot with visions of operating my own charter company.
At the age of 31 i graduated in becoming a commercial helicopter pilot and while doing this i was still managing and operating a transport company. I took part time employment in the aviation school where i graduated in operating their charter division as their line-pilot.
In the mean time my transport company grew enabling me to employ more staff and in doing so put me in a position so i could develop my own aviation company, there were many challenges in creating this new company.I invited a very close friend who at the time was also a line-pilot with a charter company we worked for. This friend took up the invitation on becoming a business partner in the venture of becoming an air operator with me.
In time we bought our helicopters and Sydney Scenic Helicopters was born.
We are a unique company as we manage and operate the famous Bell 47 fleet

Description of our Association; Friends of the Long Lost Phasmid Inc.
We are a small group dedicated to the saving the critically endangered stick insect Dryococelus australis. Our goal is to breed them in numbers so that we can have a population back on Lord Howe Island, and therefore we need to fund research and learn as much about this truly fascinating species and the environment and ecosystems in which they live.
To achieve these goals we will be holding Bug Shows, talks, collecting trips, looking at biodiversity and giving educational talks to primary and as we grow to high school students as well as the general public. We our currently building our new wed site which have information on the above activities and more lots move.
