I have had a wonderfully colourful work career and have no regrets.
I am proud of the following:
I was the first woman in the Southern Hemisphere to obtain an 'Open Gantry Crane Licence'.
The first woman to be employed as Skipper for the oldest Queensland Government Department (Australia), Department of Harbours Marine (now Qld Transport Dept.) in the preparation, installation and maintenance of Navigational aids.
I was the second woman to ever be employed for BSL (Boyne Smelters Ltd) on their potlines.
I was the first Shipping Officer for Southern Pacific Petroleum JV Suncor Energy in the Petrochemical field.
All my roles throughout my working life have incorporated some form of logistics and warehousing, whether it be in Construction, heavy Industry or the Hospitality industry and I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people from all walks of life and proffession from all over the world.
I dearly love my environment, family and friends. Especially where I now live, the beautiful world class Whitsunday's, Great Barrier Reef, Australia. We have the most exquisit islands, water clarity, reef diversity, flora and fauna. I encourage anyone in the world to visit.
