About Patrick King
I was born in Tamworth New South Wales just before my parents divorced. I moved UK for a year, I then moved back because we soon found out that England was not our home. Mum my sister and I moved into a $90 000 housing commission house in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in 1990.
I went to a state school till grade 4 when I went to a Christian School, then I went to Caloundra High from grade 2003 to 2007. In 2004 I got a job at a supermaket, where I became a Supervisor when I was 15.I met my best mate Trent there and worked there till 2008.
I joined the Liberal Party in 2005. It was this party which changed me from a boy to an adult. Then I at the end of grade 12 I hadn't applied for QTAC, I didn't want to go to uni, I had just spent 13 years at school.
So I tried and failed to go to the mines, so out of ideas and hating working at IGA I had to find a new job. I during this time go roped in by 2006 Local Government Candidate Ron Strong into joining Rotary International. This was a good thing, and today I am still an active member. I shortly after got a traineeship at Leading Edge Electronics (pay rate $10). That wouldn't do, so one day I had a phone call from ALDI where I had applied before I worked at Leading Edge and was offered a shop assistants job, then onto Deputy Manager of the Caloundra store when it opened. I nearly took the job until my boss (after much deliberation) offered to match ALDI's salary.
In February 2009 I achieved one my five life goals, which was to buy a house, and created another… Pay off my mortgage. I still have on my goal list; pay off mortgage, buy a business, become a millionaire. From a hopeless start good things can come.

Attributes Success To : Passion and enthusiasm is key. Most people are not enthusiastic about what they do, but when you do meet someone who is passionate about what they do then it makes a big difference. It is also important to know what you're talking about. Knowing your product is really crucial, but further than that you need to be able to analyze your customers problems and solve them.
Future Career And Business Goals : I will be purchasing my own electronics store in 2011 and expanding my empire of electronics shops to 50+ stores all around Australia and New Zealand.
