About Joan Hart
Joan Hart started out in the industry in 1974, the year her daughter Darlene Hart Presley won two pageants including "Miss Warren" and "Second Lady/Miss Northern Ontario Canada." Her daughter was also named Miss Quebec. After Darlene's winning, Ms. Hart was asked to be her traveling chaperon and that same year became nominated and was elected as Executive Director for the Miss Northern Ontario Canada Pageant. In 1976, Ms. Hart first became the Vice President and then President of the Miss Northern Ontario Canada Pageant.
In 1998, Joan's poem, "Learning Experience" won a place as one of the ten Canadian finalists and is published in The International Poetry Guild- The Anthology of Poems, in the Poetry Guild Shelter from the storm. (Page 199)"
Joan Hart is the 2010 recipient of the City of Greater Sudbury Civic Award which honors the enrichment of the human spirit through volunteerism and community involvements and a recipient of the 1995 Crystal Crown and Circle of Friends Award. Her artistic accomplishments include being the 1995 Sudbury Art club winner for her artwork in water, acrylic and oil paintings. One of her artwork pieces as also the subject of a Canadian Postage Stamp.
Joan attributes her success to her faith and enjoys sharing her belief in how faith is the seed to success. She also credits her accomplishments to the love and support of her husband of 55 years, Frank Hart as well as her family and friends.
In the next five years, Joan intends to achieve her goals and dreams, to excel in Visual Art and complete book number 2, a new and exciting book to readers worldwide, "Looking through the window of success," and last but not least, staying healthy and involved with Pageants, Fashion, traveling and family.
