About Inna Kogan
Inna, a third generation of musicians, was born in Baku, then USSR. She started learning piano at the age of 5, first with her mother - a well known piano teacher, and then at a special music school for talented children. Inna started her public performances at the age 7 and at the age 12 performed Grieg piano concerto with the State Philharmonic orchestra. She won numerous student competitions and graduated at the top of her class. In 1974 Inna was accepted to a State Music College which she graduated with the "Red Diploma”. She continued her studies in Jerusalem Academy of Music under tutorage of Prof. Boris Lvov from the Moscow Conservatorium and later prof. Michael Boguslavsky. She graduated with the double degree in Music education and Honors performance. Her achievements in Israel include 2nd place in State "New Faces" competition in 1978 and State Bartok competition in 1979. In 1986 Inna was invited to Brisbane, Australia to take position of the Head of Piano Department in a large music school. She held that position until 1988 and then established her own music school. By now her school operates for over 20 years and had been awarded the "Most outstanding private music school in Brisbane" many times
