About Ian Walker
Ian is the Head of Ursula and Toad Halls at The Australian National University, a research, education and policy intensive university, hosting 230 international postgraduate students in Toad Hall and more than 400 undergraduates and postgraduates in Ursula Hall.
Earning a Bachelors Diploma in Education and History from the University of Sydney, a Masters Degree in Education and Special Education from MacQuarie University and a PhD in History from the University of New South Wales, Ian simultaneously built an equally impressive professional history in the Education Industry. Highly regarded for his immense background in higher education, Ian joined ANU in 2010, responsible for facilitating students with all aspects of college life.
Paralleling his current position, Ian also stands as an Honorary Research Fellow with the Faculty of Education and Social Work at Sydney University and a Visitor with the ANU School of History.
