About Cherie Donavan
I am a proud 8th generation Australian. Brought up in Papua New Guinea, I returned to Australia in 1975. I am single and have one fabulous and successful married son and two beautiful grand children. Most of my working life has been involved in Marketing and Promotions as evidenced in my CV. My leisure pursuits include reading history - particularly Australian history texts or novels based around historical events and snippets, such as The Da Vinci Code. Interior decoration using antiques is a passion and so is generally immersing myself in the "olde worlde" when times were more gracious and people were kind to one another! I love old architecture and have restored a couple of Victorian houses in Sydney. In the pas,t when I had more time, I enjoyed genteel arts such as needle-point, paper toile and decoupage. I used to enjoy snow-skiing but more than one mishap now limit my involvement in the sport! I love travel and experiencing new cultures - the sights, sounds, and, yes even the smells, of other countries. I have done a great deal of travelling, for work and for play, but there is still much more to see and do.
