My family is the most important thing in my life - my wife Shelley and I have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren. My wife has been wonderfully supportive during the demands of two concurrent careers, namely my veterinary career and my military career as a Reserve soldier. Total commitment to the conservation of biodiversity through the discipline of veterinary conservation biology, backed up by 44 years of experience as a large animal and wildlife veterinarian. My status in this field stems from my involvement across education, research and consulting in wildlife health and population managgement. I am prepared and able to get very directly involved in activities that are sometimes controversial, such as the culling of feral hosres and overabundant kangaroos.
