About Alwyn du Plessis
Alwyn du Plessis is continuing his education in Human Resources almost two decades after receiving a BComm in Human Resources from the University of Pretoria. After his studies Alwyn took the opportunity to travel and was given an opportunity in the United States with his first Hospitality environment position.
Since that first position Alwyn has served numerous other positions in the industry for One&Only Royal Mirage, Dubai and Raffles Dubai amongst other institutions. Moreover, his enthusiasm for life and will to achieve success in each foreign environments have lent a great deal to Alwyn's professional career.
That being said, having lived in so many multicultural environments and growing up in South Africa Alwyn also considers excelling in each environment with an adaptable thinking capacity each to be amongst his most memorable achievements, including his time in the UK, USA, Greece, Taiwan, the UAE and Canada.
In coming years Alwyn sees himself as progressing from being a Canadian resident to a Canadian citizen and contributing to society in a meaningful and positive manner. He is also in the process of obtaining a CHRP certification from BCIT.
